EVERY BEGINNING HAS AN END. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE END OF WENGER'S ERA AT ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB

Am not surprised that Mr. Wenger happens to be the longest serving manager in the English premier league, Arsenal is the only football club I know and could think of that would accommodate such, such a, I don’t even know what I would call it now. Such a mess I guess. Such a mess in the sense that arsenal football club is currently in disarray at the moment all thanks to the so called “Professor” himself Monsieur Wenger who has really been the pin up in our ass.

Oh Arsene, we thank you for the glorious days and years, the style of football you brought and introduced to the club and the beautiful moments, we are grateful, we really are but those days are long gone and it’s really about time for you to step down and move aside because in actual fact, arsenal football club deserves more than the situation it’s in today.

Of course we all are aware and we remember “The Invincibles Era” the arsenal team that went unbeaten in the league from May 2003 to October 2004. The club ended the Premier league campaign as champions without a single defeat, a record of 26 wins and 12 draws during that season. Even Guardiola was hoping to match that record up with his Manchester city team but I guess he was not up to the task. The first team players included Lehman, Cole, Campbell, Toure, Lauren, Pires, Silva, Viera, Ljunberg, Bergkamp and Henry, who was the highest goal scorer during that campaign. It brings back the good old memories. But now, what have we? What has arsenal football club turned into? What really happened? These are questions we keep asking ourselves over and over again. What exactly is the problem? Wenger it is, isn’t it?

It’s almost 21 years now that Wenger has been the manager of arsenal, I think this is far more than enough time and the club has really been so patient with Arsene. Yes, am of the opinion that arsenal football club would never sack wenger, believe me it would never happen. He has been so loyal to the club and his reward is the reason why he is still the manager up till this very moment. He should at least swallow his pride by stepping aside as the manager for someone that would be much more competent than him, but would he really do that? He is stubborn like that. Things are going from bad to worse season after season. From wining the premier league title to aiming for the top 4 in order to qualify for the champions league, now it is europa, such a shame. Is it not obvious already things are going from bad to worse or maybe Mr. Wenger is waiting for the worst to happen before he knows the right thing to do, you never can tell. Whatever the case might be, one thing I know for sure is that Mr. Wenger would not be the manager for another 21 years again; No, he wouldn’t be.

I wouldn’t be surprised if arsenal doesn’t make the top 4 this season; it’s looking like it already, game after game, 8 points adrift the champions league spot already. What do you expect? With the form Liverpool and Tottenham are on currently, forget it. Let’s even put aside the form of these two teams, just compare the quality of players of these two clubs to that of arsenal, I think it’s clear enough.

Mr. Wenger, we are tired already, even fed up to say the least. We all are aware of the good work and achievements you have brought upon the club, your role in the remarkable and outstanding move from highbury to the emirates stadium which happens to be one of the best things that has happened to arsenal football club till date. But it’s time to leave the position of being manager. It’s time to move on and step aside Mr. Wenger. It’s obvious his tenure and reign as the manager of arsenal football club is up and we the fans are not too blind to see that. Are we? No, we are not.
