I don’t think anyone saw this coming, I didn’t see it coming either. Swansea 1-0 Liverpool. It was quite shocking to me and I was quite astonished with the result. Who would ever have imagined Swansea would defeat Jurgen Klopp’s team that has so much quality players at their disposal. That is football for you, and the more reason we are in love with the game.

Coming off the back of a massive win against potential champions to be Manchester city, Liverpool dominated majority of the game with so much energy and vibe that they made Manchester city feel like a club that belonged to the lower half of the English premier league table. They brought an end to Manchester city’s unbeaten run and definitely after a game of such caliber their confidence level would have doubled going into the Swansea game.

Swansea was the underdogs no doubt about that and with the way they played you could tell they had a plan and it was well executed. The perfect headline would have been "Swansea defeated the club that brought an end to Manchester city’s unbeaten run, which is Liverpool". This is the more reason why the English premier league happens to be the best league in the world; the unpredictability of each game. The feeling that any club can defeat any club, the feeling that clubs at the bottom can as well defeat those at the top irrespective of their league position or financial strength. This is the beauty of the game. And that is why we all love the English premier league.
