Learning How to Play Football
A quote for the read:
"Football is like life – it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority."
— Vince Lombardi
While this football season is long over in high school, I still have next school year to join the team! Next year will also be my senior year, so it’s my last chance to do it. I have never played football before in my life, so that was really my only problem. Now I do know what the easy things are, like touchdown, field goal, and all that stuff, just not what other things were, like a “down.” I’ve gone and watched many games but still could not understand it. Finally, yesterday I decided to just sit down and do some research. It didn’t take long until I understood the basics of the game, and now, I actually enjoy watching the games because I know how it’s played, what the players need to do, and what the game terms mean (i.e. down, 2-point conversion, etc.) Hopefully when this summer comes around, I can practice and tryout with my high school football team and gain a popular high school experience in my final year of school. It may be a little late, as I am a senior and have never played the game, but I think it will be fun to have a team to connect with, off and on the field.

I'm a 16-year-old junior in high school. I've figured out that Steemit is a great way to express my feelings about certain topics and get paid for it! I like to start all my articles with a quote to get the reader to understand the 'feeling' of the article before they start reading it.

Don't feel bad, I still don't know what a down is, or most of the other terms.
