Mattia De Sciglio join Juventus
Mattia De Sciglio has officially joined Juventus. The club nicknamed the Old Lady announced the signing of De Sciglio from AC Milan at a cost of 12 million euros plus a bonus of 500 thousand euros. The 24-year-old signed a five-year contract valid until 30 June 2022.
The Italian international has undergone medical tests with the Bianconeri on Wednesday (19/7) local time. Now, De Sciglio's name is included in Juve's squad for a preseason tour in the United States. "Juventus FC announced that a deal with AC Milan for the definitive acquisition of the registration provisions of player Mattia De Sciglio has been completed, with a value of 12 million euros paid in three years of financial time," the club said in an official statement on Thursday ( 20/7).
In the statement mentioned, that the value of the purchase can increase by a maximum of 0.5 million euros, when reaching certain conditions during the duration of the contract. Thus, the transfer fee could increase to 12.5 million euros. De Sciglio will replace Dani Alves as Juve's new right back. He re-reunites with coach Massimiliano Allegri, who gives his debut for him at Milan in 2012.
He has recorded 110 appearances in Serie A and appeared in 31 times the game for the Italian national team. Which, he became the first choice under coach Antonio Conte in the 2016 European Cup. De Sciglio still has another year left in his contract with the Rossoneri. However, his contract was deemed a surplus requirement, following the arrival of Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez in Milan.
