Arsenal transfer news: Thomas Lemar announcement demanded today after Gunners tweet

ARSENAL fans are demanding they sign Thomas Lemar today - 18 years on from getting Thierry Henry.
The Gunners were reminiscing this morning about the capture of Henry, tweeting a picture of the Frenchman holding a shirt at his unveiling.

Alongside the image they wrote: “On this day in 1999…”

The tweet was clearly designed to get supporters reminiscing about the glory days of Henry, who scored 175 Premier League goals in 258 games for the club.

But it ended up in the official @Arsenal account getting bombarded with demands to sign up Monaco star Thomas Lemar.

One wrote “Scenes when Lemar gets announced today" while another joked: "Forget Henry, we need Lemar... announce now @arsenal."
