IndyCar Series 2018 - Ultimate Guide by raceoff

IndyCar Series 2018 Championship Premiers at March 11 in Florida with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

Once again the fight will be between Chevrolet and Honda as they are the two Engine suppliers for 2018 .

Nothing has really change since last year everything is the same .
The only change is that Watkins Glen International is OUT replaced by Portland International Raceway.

In the drivers Hélio Castroneves will not particate in the 2018 but will compete in round 5 and 6 at the Indianapolis , as he wil race with Penske in the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

Josef Newgarden is the reigning champion and of course will try to defend his stem , mainly from his Penske teammates.

Ed Jones ( 2017 IndyCar Rookie of the Year ) replacing Tony Kanaan in Chip Ganassi Team and he will learn a lot besides his teammate 4 times Indycar Champion Scott Dixon .

Rookie Pietro Fittipaldi 21yo , the grandson of Emerson Fittipaldi (two time Formula 1 champion) will race for Dale Coyne Racing in seven races.

Two women will race at the 102nd Indianapolis 500 Danica Patrick and Pippa Mann !!!

The strongest drivers will be :

Team Penske's Champions - Josef Newgarden ,Simon Pagenaud and Will Power
Always count Scott Dixon for Chip Ganassi Racing , Graham Rahal also a strong fighter and maybe Alexander Rossi , Sébastien Bourdais and Takuma Sato.

Everything looks awesome so obviously i expect a great season full of excitment and drama from the start till the end .

My Thoughts for the Title contenders :

Scott Dixon is perfect , just needs a fast car in all kind of circuits.
Simon Pagenaud needs to risk more for wins and stop feeling happy by finishing stable in TOP 10 but outside podiums.
Will Power is fast strong but will need luck cause luck is not on his side in the last two years.
My prediction is that Josef Newgarden will be the champion in the end and then he may try for Formula One in HAAS Racing. It's just my personal thoughts and nothing more.
