Great write up. Thats so interesting about soaking the night before the race. I have never heard anyone even suggest that before. I might need to try it. One question though, could the reduction in cramping simply be down to the increase in strength from hill climbing. Either way, you're a true badass!!!
Keep it up Trevor and promise we will get a run in one day.

I really think the cramping was solved by the salt baths.

I have done loads of hill work in the past but I still got cramps on the day. It may also be due to not pushing so hard and trying to run every hill. ;-)

But I hopefully have a race coming up - the Tip Track Marathon, that is all hill climbing. So that would be a really good test. :-)
