Marc Leishman fired a career best 61 (-10) to open up an early 3 shot lead at the AT&T Byron Nelson in Dallas, Texas. There were plenty of low scores on a day with no wind which left Trinity Forest virtually defenseless.

Pre-tournament favourite Jordan Spieth carded a 69 (-2) in a round where his putter let him down. Jimmy Walker continued his recent upturn in form with a 64 (-7) and lies tied for 2nd place. His round included a miraculous shot from a terrible lie - see video below.
