Opening SportsTalkSocial Post - 30,000 SPORTS Vested

Good afternoon sports fans!

This is my first post with this account, made specifically for sportstalksocial.com. And, I've just loaded up the account with just over 30,000 SPORTS ready to curate the sports related content that appeals to me.

This could be anything from Football (Soccer for some of you), Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Snooker, Athletics, and probably a fair few more that don't come to mind right now. If your content isn't sports related, I may write a message informing you, and if you are really taking the piss repeatedly, I'll likely downvote your content. This account has no other vested stake other than SPORTS.

This account also gives me a little more freedom to post content that perhaps the majority of my followers at @abh12345 aren't used to seeing / didn't follow me for.

Like this :)

My daughter swims for a club, and yesterday she was at a county gala event performing a couple of 50 meter events. She's been swimming since she was 3, and her mum and grandma (and my late father) are keen swimmers.

Since starting out, she has had a couple of notable coaches. One of which trained Rebecca Adlington who won 2 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics.

Her best stroke is butterfly, which is apparently the most energy-zapping of all the strokes used in events. The good thing about learning early though is that the main focus is technique. Over 50 meters and at this age, you can get away without perfect technique if you are ahead of your peers in strength, and my daughter is much better over further.

She's in lane 3:

4th in lane 3 - 35:02

Her time of 35:02 is a personal best, beating the one she set at the same event a year ago. This last year though she has mainly been focusing on further, and she often lets me know that she swam '150+ lengths this evening' - damn!

What's cool is that the girls ahead of her in this race are a year older, and second or two at this level can easily be made up via a little more experience and strength. I'm looking forward to watching her race over further as technique will come into play more.

Thanks for reading,

Asher

Oh my God. You've gone rogue. I will have to send the hunters out after you and bring you in!!

3 Posts today for various tribes, time to start working like Taraz!

And if you are not viewing from the sportstalksocial.com interface, the vote on your comment will look a bit shit!

Phew! Spent the last hour hiding in the bathroom!

You are going to become a whale in every pond! Keep up the good work!

Such is the distribution for SPORTS, it is possible here but I don't think it will be the case elsewhere. Thank you and the same to you!

it looks like a lot of work to manage all your accounts :)

Well I have a lot of time at present and so might as well give it a try :)

I am looking forward to your sports posts and seeing how your daughter improves as she gets older. It is amazing how one year can change the times significantly and who knows how good she can become.

Thanks very much, I hope I can produce something of interest from the sporting world, and if not i can always blog about my daughters activities :)

Good to see you on this site as well. I find it has the most interesting content for me compared to a lot of the tech stuff on STEEM. Up to 40K on my account. This must be what the early days of steem felt like.

I wouldn't know about the earliest days of Steem but yeah, quite nice to pack a vote worth something at present!

I'd added some followers from the main account who post sport related content and have to say I do like having similar content in one place.

Butterfly is a tough one . One of the hardest . Fair play to her

Posted using Partiko iOS

Yeah for sure. One that i would only practice without anyone looking! :)

Welcome to the club 😁

Oh hii, thank you!

you really did open up all kind of acc :D the idea is great, i just don't have enough of tokens and am to lazy to manage few accounts.
love swimming, never learned butterfly, it is hard.

Yeah I've gone for it this week!

That stroke is intense and has taken her a lot of practice. Reckon I've got her beat over the first .5 seconds though with the dive in :D

I remember swimming and racing, and oh oh how much fun and dangerous Water Polo was. I never had the upper body strength for the butterfly stroke, I specialized in the side stoke as a kid, never really won many races, but still had a blast in High School swimming.

Thanks for this post, it allowed me to find another community. I love how all this is growing. Two full social sites, a finance tribe, a bank tribe (@neoxian, started his Neoxian_City tribe), and now a sports page. I wonder how long before @informationwar get their politics tribe going they always have some fun reading.

Thanks for the offer of help a few days back, but I am going to try to avoid having more names and more account passwords to lose for now, I may hit you up in the future if I do change my mind. I think my Web page will help me out some as I continue to build it.

My dad used to play a lot of Water Polo and he used to tell me how rough it was. My daughter plays at time too, with the guys as they don't have a club for her age group.

Things here are starting to look very interesting and I'm enjoying seeing how these new tribes develop. I'm hoping to see more UK football chat, and plan to kick that off on my feed soon enough.

No worries re: an account, just let me know (although the service I use isn't working today. Cheers :)

Water polo is a fun sport, tough but fun, it does build stamina up. I think the Tribes/Communities are going to work out, we will see what the future holds, if nothing else it will make things interesting for a bit.
