Ook al zijn er nog drie races over. Maar de wereldkampioenschappen Formule 2 2019 zijn bekend. Nick de Vries van het ART Grand Prix-team behaalde de 2019 Formule 2-wereldtitel

Nick de Vries is een 24-jarige Nederlandse racer, die in zijn derde seizoen in F2 won, de hoofdrace won nadat hij was gestart vanuit de pole position om hem onredelijk in te halen door de naaste rivaal Nicholas Latifi uit Canada.

Met vier overwinningen en 11 podia behaalde De Vries de titel met 254 punten, 70 punten voorsprong op Latifi.

Volgend seizoen wordt De Vries partner bij Stoffel Vandoorne, een voormalige McLaren F1-racer bij Mercedes, die zijn debuut in de Formule E voor het seizoen 2019/2020 zal maken.
