Chinese Firework-Catching Sport - 抢火炮

This is a rare sport in China where both teams would catch the fireworks.

It was originated from the ethnic groups of Zhuang and Dong.

A 5-cm diameter iron ring firework was used in the past during the game.

A launcher would be lightened to send the ring into the sky.

The players would try to throw the ring into the opponent’s basket to score a point.

In this modern age, the firework uses an electronic device to launch it so that it does not endanger the players.
