Gameweek 5: Fantasy Premier League Squad

in #sportstalk5 years ago

Okay, I've had enough of this nonsense international break now and am looking forward to the Premier League returning this weekend.

I enjoyed a pretty decent return in the last round of Fantasy Premier League, netting 76 points compared to the global average of 57.

There were still some people in leagues I'm in that outscored me but I realise that I am hindering myself by refusing to play certain players due to allegiances. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying this year more than I have for the last few I've been involved in and I think it's because I can genuinely look forward to rooting for certain players knowing that it doesn't impact my actual love for Liverpool in the real world.

This week, I've altered my formation to bring in an extra man up front while losing one from midfield. Although there tend to be more points on offer in the midfield due to increased rewards for goals and assists etc, I had been seeing very small returns for my investment in that area.

Perez hasn't lived up to my expectations so makes way for Barnes up front who has a favourable fixture against Brighton this weekend. Haller and Vardy are solid options and have been doing well for me so retain their places.

With Liverpool playing at home against Newcastle, I have opted to captain Salah this week and am hopeful that he'll be able to bag me some serious points.

Having Haller there is a good one, i finally go for him this week in my team. He is very clinical in front of goal.

Hey Phil! Nice lineup. Good luck.
