NEW YORK KNICKS WHY SO MUCH ATTENTION ON THEM ?

From my age I don’t have a great recollection of New York Knicks being a great team.
Patrick Ewing I recalled was a great center.
John starks was good at three pointer.
Knicks won two championship in the 70s.
I was not even born.
In the NBA some teams are elite cause of their locations
-Knicks

• Lakers
• Celtics
  -Bulls
  So far the first three names sound big.
  Not so much lately.
  Spurs has been pretty good after MJ era. Lakers did really good in the same era and after that you have the HEAT and the Warriors.
  As you can see no mention of KNICKS.
  DUBBED a great place to play in the spotlight.
  After Ewing left they have not make great deal of getting the best players.
  The league has been very competitive as well.
  The draft even changes lately has not help much the Knicks to land the best players.
  NBA has become pro-players and Knicks don’t allow the players to do what they want.
  Do you recall, LBJ didn’t have a good relationship with the owner but he control his destiny.
  Let me say that king James is a business savvy.
  The owner of the Knicks controlled too much and the decision he made troubled the players.
  He banned Charles Oakley for pity reasons I assume.
  The players want less drama and more opportunities to grow.
• Melo went there and then you know what happen to him
• Amare as well with injuries did not impress much
  I guess things has not work well and lately the blame sits with the owner controlling too much.

Quick example

This was the league last year standings in the East
And Raptors won it fair and square.
Knicks was dead last.
Cleveland was last but found a way to win two more games.
Knicks this season signed some players and again it is not the marquee ones.
They lost to Brooklyn Nets KD Kyrie.
At least New York fans got to see great basket the next two seasons.
Knicks fan like Stephen A. Smith big mouth will be louder and we need him to push the team to get better
Julius Randle I need to follow this player.
Can he bring them to the playoffs
With the rest of the team?
For the next two years years knicks could remain the Cinderella of the EAST.
