The Bracket Everyone Loves to Hate is Back.

We are fast approaching Selection Sunday and Conference Tournaments are almost here. This is the latest bracketology update. There have been some changes.

Some highlights:

  • Rhode Island is OUT.
  • Kentucky is a #4 seed and so is Michigan State.
  • Florida falls to a #9 seed and Auburn moves up to a #6 seed.
  • Florida State remains as a #2 seed even with the loss at Clemson.
  • Wisconsin continues rising and they are now a #5 seed.
  • West Virginia keeps falling, they are now an #8 seed and their poor souls would draw Florida.
  • Utah State, Providence, Richmond, and Indiana are the last four in.
  • First Four Out are: Rhode Island, Texas, Memphis, and Mississippi State.
  • Houston moves up to a #5 seed.
  • Virginia makes a big leap to a #7 seed, the NET metric hates them, but this metric also like West Virginia and Arizona way too much.
  • Teams in conference tournaments that can rock this bracket:
    • Mississippi State
    • Memphis
    • UCLA
    • Pacific
    • St. John's
    • Purdue
    • South Carolina
    • Clemson
    • Saint Louis
