Chelsea who currently sit on eight points from their opening five games have a tough return to Premier League action against Liverpool on Sunday. However that's still seven behind the Reds.
With a 2-0 loss to Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli in midweek, Jurgen Klopp's side did slip up in Europe as well.
N'Golo Kante has had a frustrating start to the campaign due to injuries carried over from last season and at the beginning of this year but Frank Lampard could be boosted by his return.
With the World Cup winner back in training,
Lampard, while looking to manage his workload, could put him back in against the Champions League winners.
It is a boost, we know the importance of him for any team that he plays in. The quality that he brings," Lampard said.
The question is how fit he is. He has had a long time out now since the back-end of last season. He has played a couple of games this is, but you can’t count that as much because he missed pre-season.
