During the 1920's, Akron Pros won the Championship of the fourteen team of the American Professional Football Association which then which 1922, the organization became the National Football League.
Akron Pros started their journey as early as 1908 which was then called Akron Burkhardts in 1916 name after Burkhardt Brewing company and after a year, it was change to Akron Pros. The championship they had with the American Professional Football Association were not maintained, in 1921 they fall on the third placer and in 1922 they had a huge fall, setting on the tenth.
After season in the 1922, Akron changed their name again to Akron Indians. Unfortunately, they only played four seasons from 1923 to 1926 and the team were disbanded due to lack of financial support. They had their final game played last November 25, 1926 with the Canton Bulldogs with a tie score.

Great collection of photo of 1920, along with nice narration of history.
It's always interesting to know the history and how the things were before almost 10 decades.
