Colorado Spring Break!!
Soo I know I never post and pretty much stick to resteeming - and that's because, well, I'm a shit author. Anyway, I decided to write a quick post/pic dump about our spring break!!
We didn't go far. We live in Wyoming and we went to Colorado...but! We went this time with the intention to get some time in with some new found hobbies.
Do any of you like to snowboard? Me, I like to ski...but this year we decided to try snowboarding! We have done it a few times on our small mountain just an hour away, but we decided to go for the big one on this trip. COPPER MOUNTAIN!
We took a break an explored the town, literally at the bottom of the hill. I mean it's like...the chair lifts are in the middle of town.
We ended the day with a black diamond run (accidentally) and we totally killed it. I think it's safe to say that we're getting the hang of snowboarding. So for what was probably the last run of the year, we had a ton of fun and can't wait until next year....plus we can buy some cheap snowboarding gear this summer ;)
Later that night we headed a little further into the mountain...like 45 minutes or so, and took a soak in the hot springs in Glenwood. The water was hot, clean, and smelled like farts - but it sure was relaxing...and my legs totally needed it after snowboarding all day.
The next day, we headed back into Denver. We decided to do some of another new hobby - GEOCACHING! If you guys have never heard of it..it's super fun. It's a literal real life treasure hunt!
So the idea is this: You get GPS coordinates to a spot. Sometimes you have to drive there, sometimes hike, etc. Once you are there, you have a limited amount of information (like clues) to help you find a hidden container full of goodies! There is also a log in there, and you get to sign it to say that you've been there.
Anyway, we went to several geocaches (hiked many many miles) and they took us past some wonderful views...
And we found some cleverly hidden ones..
Well...there you have it! A brief post/pic dump of our spring break vacation!
Colorado is great! enjoying it you are ! :)
Awesome brother! I love Copper mountain. I have never tried skiing but I love snowboarding and am so used to it I don't want to try anything else, so kudos for learning both! I have never been to Glenwood but would love to get out there, and I've always wanted to try geocaching! Lol is that nug you found there? Great read man, glad you had fun in colorful Colorado :)
Lol not a nug but maybe an old nug container!
Amazing place one
