RE: Steem Pump - Steem Spud Day May 1st

Do you even know what Hive is?

Hive is a fork from Steem created because Steem was centralized. The centralized Steem is freezing user accounts and is actively censoring content.

Most of the people who had been running Steem created Hive and are now on Hive. Steem is left for sockpuppets and incompetent witnesses.

Sort:

I know what Hive is. All i can see between steem and Hive is politics, maybe evolution of blockchain governance. Although, i am not used to the idea that when a political party lose an election, they can just create a new country with the same citizen. instead of working together to to find a common ground for progress and prosperity.

Centralized or De-centralized - for mass adoption of blockchain, you can't have Anarchy. The argument should have been, how do we all make steem better and to the masses without jeopardizing steem. Who has that goal ?

The difference between Steem and Hive is that Steem is centralized, Hive is decentralized.

There is no "working together" under a dictatorship. Decentralization is the point in blockchains, those who fail to understand this are not very suited for blockchains.

Hive isn't in anarchy either. You don't need a tyrant to have a working community.

How will differences be sorted in the future on hive ? In a community you will always have minor differences and a tyrant who shares common interest with you, else it's just a community of "Yes Man " .

Whoever the tyrant you re referring to is, I'd say don't judge a man by his mistakes , sometimes good people make bad choices, it doesn't mean they are bad. Sometimes it's just Human error and humans are prone to error. You have to fail , make mistakes to become a better person.

Well based on the discussions with views between the witnesses, who are chosen by the community.

"In a community you will always have minor differences and a tyrant who shares common interest with you, else it's just a community of "Yes Man " ." <- What are you trying to say with this? That's nowhere close to a typical community.

But hope you'll enjoy your stay on Steem.

Thanks, I will try. I might also log-on hive and see whats going on over there. Enjoy your stay as an ambassador for both chains

Look up some news stories about Justin Sun. He brought Steemit and trashed Steem when the witnesses resisted his takeover. His puppet witnesses run things now, so there's no decentralisation. Hive was a fresh start without his influence. Nothing is perfect, but you can strive for better.

I have and i can't say i like what unfolded and how it was done. I am hoping some good come out of it for now.
