Visit to Thailand - Day 2

Hello Friends,

I was not able to write in recent days as I was busy organising to my Thailand visit. I landed to Thailand on 18th of April. This is a official visit to Thailand for a academic program which is collaboration with Thailand Automotive Institute and also the Asia Institute of Technology. A team from University of Sabaragamuwa joined this program. The main objective is to get support to design our automobile engineering laboratories and to find opportunities for research collaborations.

I really enjoyed various types of Thai food for these 2 days and I love them. I must admit that Thai food are very comfortable to me compared to Italian and Russian food as they add lot of spice and chilli which is more similar to Sri Lankan food. This is the breakfast they provided today morning, but it was not a traditional meal .. a western one actually.

We walked around the AIT and science park area today afternoon. I got the opportunity to taste lot of Thai food. The prices were very cheap too. Most of the full meals were below 100 Baht ( 1000 LKR ). And also fresh juice are around 15 Baht ( 150 LKR ). Prices are somewhat similar to Sri Lanka.

I will update you with my experiences in Thailand. We are planning to stay two weeks here in Thailand. Thailand have developed a very good EV vehicle charging system and a good mobile application to Bangkok city area. We are also studying about their system. Sri Lanka is also in-need of such mechanism as our new policies are encouraging EV vehicle import.
