Dispute, Darkness among Christians in the Church

GOOD DAY Steemians family and friends, I welcome you to my page and I am sharing with you today “Dispute, Darkness among Christians in the Church ⛪ ”

Source

Today I am not going to talk about a particular topic but I will have a diversion on dispute, relationship, Christian life and marriages in the church.

WHAT IS CHURCH? A church is a building used for Christian religious activities, particularly for worship services.

But for some people a church is a social gathering, where we meet friends, attend parties together, celebrate weddings, naming ceremonies, birthday bashes and possibly burials.

Sometime, it is seen as a place to socially connect with people of same social standing to further strengthen shared interest. THE CHURCH IS NONE OF THESE. It is a place of PRAYER AND THE WORD.

Realise that whenever we have disagreements in the church, it has always been around issues not central to the purpose of a church such as dressing, class/social standing, business deal gone south, personal preferences, personality cults etc. Why should we then allow such issues to derail a church or our relationship with our brothers and sisters.

If you leave a church because of a disagreement, the only way you will not get into disagreement ever again is TO DIE AND LEAVE THE WORLD. For as long as we are humans, there will always be disputes. How we handle it is what sets up apart from the world. I pray that you receive understanding in these things AND LET THE PEACE OF GOD REIGN IN YOUR HEART. If you think the other party offended you and the person has apologized, accept it and move on but going around to gossip about the person's offense after the apology IS EVIL.

Let me say for the umpteenth time that unresolved dispute leads to bitterness which is carnality. God is not proud of that! Do not hinder your own prayers because of simple disagreement!

DARKNESS DON’T MINGLE WITH LIGHT 💡
There is only one way out of darkness- Jesus.John 8:12

The light of life is reserved for those who follow Jesus.

Every spiritual activity is done not to "get Jesus" or be "full of Jesus", but because we follow Jesus.

Christ was given to prayer

Mark 1:35; we also must be given to prayer.

And our prayer must be simple and scriptural!

The prayer of Christ was about God's assignment and nothing of his personal ambitions and interest.

There is no manifestation of the Spirit where there is no understanding of scriptures!

The Holy Spirit's primary assignment is to REVEAL CHRIST to us from the pages of the scriptures!

The approach and understanding of Christ while here on earth was out of this world. We should emulate Him.

It is false that Christ was harsh or that he was gentle with words. Christ just spoke the truth at ALL TIMES!

If we are always mindful of the things of the Kingdom, we will have all that we need.

- One of my Pastor's favorite quotes. And it's from our reading for today.

NLT Bible.
Mark 3:32-35

[32]There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, “Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.”
[33]Jesus replied, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
[34]Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.
[35] Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

NLT Bible. 1 Corinthians 7

[36] But if a man thinks that he’s treating his fiancée improperly and will inevitably give in to his passion, let him marry her as he wishes. It is not a sin.

Things of note to me from this verse:

  • It is not a sin to decide to marry because you don't want to fornicate.
That is, rather than fornicate or burn with passion, marry.

  • When you are not ready to marry at all, don't bother be in a relationship. Because you will burn with passion which will lead to fornication.
    Save yourself the stress. 😭😄.
Note that point 2 wasn't expressly stated in the verse but I deduced it my own way. ( pls feel very free to correct my deduction o. I am open to correction)

  • Paul the Apostle said a man should marry as he WISHES!
That means according to what you have, within the boundary of the law of your location.
It doesn't Connote white wedding or black wedding or traditional wedding or native wedding or registry or court wedding or whatever name we give it. It doesn't matter!
Just marry, and not burn or give in to passion. Or keep living with unnecessary guilt that God has not given you.

Marrying is "cheap". It depends on you and your partner. Don't stress yourself unnecessary.
What is important is what the Bible says and if the Bible is not stressing you on how to conduct your ceremony, don't stress yourself or allow ANYBODY to.
Unless of course the stress is what you want, then by all means, pls stress yourself.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Hope I made a point.

Lemme know if any contrary view exists.
😉

NLT Bible. 1 Corinthians 7

[39] A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but only if he loves the Lord.

My emphasis is the last part of the verse.

Apostle admonish the Corinthians unmarried (single or widowed) to marry IN THE LORD. That is someone who loves the Lord Jesus. The Lord here is Jesus not any other lord 😂😂

This word is still relevant today. Marry a believer like you plsssss!
It is very important.
If you go back to 1Cor.2:14 that we read yesterday, you will understand that an unbeliever is not a believer! They are not the same.

What fellowship is light with darkness! The temple of God with Belial!

They shouldn't coexist. It cannot happen. Light shines in the dark and darkness CANNOT (not "does not") comprehend it.

So when a believer choses to marry an unbeliever, then I begin to wonder 🤔🤨

Is this person really a light. Because light ALWAYS outshines darkness. Darkness cannot even stand the presence of light.

So what kind of light is d one that darkness wants to coexist with it! Trust me, it is not light in the first place.

Enough said
🤐

Thank y’all for taking your time to read my blog today 🔥🔥 God bless 🙏
