Near Protocol (NEAR) Staking Guide Via Near Official Wallet

in #stakinglast year

NEAR Protocol is an innovative layer 1 blockchain that utilizes Nightshade sharding to help overcome the blockchain trilemma and create a blockchain that is scalable, secure, and decentralized.
NEAR Protocol is governed by its NEAR token, a top 35 project by market cap at the time of writing and the ecosystem is designed to be user-friendly, especially for developers, helping to onboard them to web3.
Holders of NEAR can stake the coin via Near Protocol’s native wallet and earn compounding daily rewards at around 10% APY and we are excited to announce that Coinpayu is now a validator to which you can delegate your NEAR.
This guide will show you how to do so.
Create your wallet:
Simply head over to https://wallet.near.org/ and create your account, generating a secure passphrase in the process, or using your Ledger hardware wallet.
That process will look like this, and if you have not created a wallet before, make sure you save the passphrase somewhere secure, as it will ask you for verification.
You should never share this passphrase with anyone.
Fund your wallet:
NEAR Wallet will allow you to set a custom address like satoshi.near below rather than the string of letters and numbers you may be accustomed to. Take this address and make a deposit.

Your Near Wallet can hold both Near ecosystem tokens and NFTs.
You will see your deposit in the recent activity section of the wallet.
