STATISTICS WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME
Starting college as a pre-nursing degree means loads of hard science classes. I mean, after all we are going into school with the intentions of graduating with our BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing). Microbiology and learning about infectious diseases wasn't as bad as it sounded, chemistry involved a lot of late nights studying, anatomy and physiology had me talking like a doctor constantly and loads of memorizing, organic and biochem had me up tossing and turning all night because no matter how much work I put in I got very little out of it, and then there's STATISTICS. Oh man where do I even begin?!
Let me first start off by saying that I am taking it over the summer so it is only 6 weeks long. So, a 13-14 week class is crammed into about a month. Not only is it a summer class but I am also taking it ONLINE! I've had a few friends tell me that stats is a class like no other. Boy, were they not kidding! In the syllabus it states that "for a student to be successful in this course one must expect to spend 30-40 hours a week on the material". That's a full time job! Besides my little rant I am really looking forward to the class ending in 2 weeks. I am managing to do well in it although I never feel as if I fully understand any of the concepts.I'm crossing my fingers that this is the one and only time I will ever have to use null and alternative hypotheses, confidence intervals, and other topics revolving around the class! So here's to 4 weeks down, 2 more to go!
This post makes me glad I'm not in school right now😂. Only 2 weeks left! Let us know how it goes!
