Things can move so fast in the internet world. Getting mentioned by the right people can make something go viral. Just see what happened with mastodon.social, which has grown by about x8 in a couple of weeks after being featured on Wired. There's a hunger for alternatives to the mainstream. Steemit needs some stars to push it.
Those types of things correspond with some of the very high spikes in traffic
We just need to keep the momentum going when there is a spike.
Spikes will always happen, especially with the viral nature of the internet, but steady growth is great too.
