Angels descending, bring from above,
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

The photo reminds me of Margaret Laurence's novel and the statue that was brought from Italy at a terrible expense and was pure white marble. But your statue isn't blind, but sad, and imbued with the patina of weathering. Lovely.

I still haven't read that story. I did read somewhere though that some guys lit a few of her books on fire for some reason.

I LOVE Margaret Lawrence! Now what could have made me think of that? Great photo!

I don't know....the angel, the title, the husband's comment?? lol

Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

That is lovely. Not sure why, but it reminds me of the song, Blessed Assurance.

Yes!! One of my favorites. Perfect words to title this photo. I love it. Thanks Lydon.

Pretty statue. Is it in a graveyard? The window behind her looks sort of like a church window...

I was in the car, sitting at a red light and noticed this statue on someone's front lawn. That's their front door behind the statue. It was funny bc the garden wasn't anything special....Just this angel statue in front with some rocks and a couple of bushes. Made for a good shot though, I think.

Thank you Deb!

Great choice to go with monochrome for this image.

I agree....in color it just wasn't telling a story. Thanks @keithboone.

There's an update on the contest rules I've just posted.
