A short introduction of Status history
Status was officially announced to the public on May 29, 2017. Co-founders Carl Bennetts and Jarrad Hope shows a presentation exposing the plans for their Ethereum light client which held at DevCon2, an annual conference for developers on the Ethereum blockchain way back 2016 of September.
Based on the data, nearly 14,000 people around the world downloaded Staus alpha, and 50,000 people are on the current alpha waitlist after the announcement.
