The love of God

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This scripture always strikes my heart in a powerful way because it shows Gods definition of what love actually means. For me as a kid one type of love I was familiar with was a materialistic type. It was like a “I’ll buy your love” type of thing nothing really to deep. That is one of the reasons why even right now is kind of hard for me to express or even understand this type of love. Only about four years ago is when I started to dig deeper in trying to understand what this love is all about. Only by understanding this overwhelming love God has for us was I able to break of my shell.

If you guys can relate I strongly encourage you guys to start meditating on the sacrificial love Jesus showed us. If you do that not only would it help you but also people around you. If you guys really want to make an impact in this dark world I recommend getting in touch with God and learn how to have a relationship with him it will change your life!! Who ever wants to learn how to get in touch with the heart of God don’t hesitate and message me.
