steemticker-osx (A simple STEEM price ticker for OSX toolbar) - version 1.2a released (change log)

in #steem-project7 years ago (edited)

I have made a fairly significant change to my OSX toolbar app, steemticker-osx. Now, when you setup your portfolio, the amount of STEEM you input will be saved to a text file and read in each time you open the program. This way, you no longer have to re-enter the amount of STEEM you hold every time you close and re-open the program. This is a very simple change and I almost considered not even posting an update, but I feel that it is a function that greatly improves the ease of use of my program.

NOTE: It seems obvious, but do not edit "portfolio.txt". The app could stop working if the contents of the file have been tampered with. Also, keep the "portfolio.txt" file located in the same directory as "ticker.py". The program will be unable to read the file otherwise.

I hope that this project is useful to you. I am completely open to pull requests if anyone wants to contribute.
