Many of us would have heard about SteemPress and are using SteemPress plugin to publish your blog on WordPress to Steemit. This could only be done due to great hard work of SteemPress Co-founders @fredrikaa and @howo, two fantastic brains that come together to create fabulous ideas, whom have come out with fantabulous future for @steempress and Steem blockchain! Simultaneously, they have shifted all activities on @steempress-io to this account @steempress.
If you are reading this and haven't heard about SteemPress, it is not too late to hop in. Because there is nothing to lose, just gain, so giving SteemPress a try is highly advisable.

Few days ago, both of them just made a huge announcement; mainly on SteemPress vision, road map for 2018 and @steempress as witness. After reading their huge announcement, we could not agree more that they have indeed laid down alot of time and commitment for the betterment of Steem blockchain and continue to further chart its future. They are definitely worth our vote for @steempress as witness.
Who They Are
First of all, let us introduce ourselves to those of you who might not know us yet. Martin Lees (@howo) is the lead developer of SteemPress and responsible for all technical development and updates to our plug-in. He holds a master's degree in computer science and currently works as a software engineer at Orange. Fredrik Aarrestad (@fredrikaa) is the lead business developer of SteemPress and responsible for market development, partnerships, and communications and marketing. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business and Administration and a master's degree in Economics and currently works at the European Space Agency.
These are the amazing brains behind SteemPress - a WordPress plugin which connects any blog to the Steem blockchain. They do not stop at developing SteemPress, but have just decided to be full time developing SteemPress and Steem blockchain starting on 10th August onwards. This step of faith they have taken absolutely deserves our applause, support and word of congratulations.
As they mentioned in their latest announcement, "Between the two of us, we believe we possess a diverse and complementary set of skills that can add value to the blockchain. From developing and operating applications and making contributions to blockchain development, to promoting Steem and adding to the conversation of how we can grow its value."
SteemPress Vision & 2018 Roadmap
According to the Co-founders, their long-term vision is to see all bloggers be empowered by the Steem blockchain to monetize content as well as to reach new audiences. Steem has so much to offer and it should be widely known to bloggers outside of Steemit platform, for example, WordPress users or bloggers. With SteemPress, Martin and Fredrik hope to both expose new creators and consumers to the Steem blockchain while also taking its features to websites where it can help tokenize the web at scale, additionally a bonus to users when they also earn STEEM tokens (tradeable).
Now that they have successfully built SteemPress plugin to allow anyone with a WordPress website to publish directly to the Steem blockchain, next will be working on tools which allow Steem features to be integrated with existing blogs.
As being said, the objective is to have a full two-way integration between WordPress blogs and the Steem blockchain. This would include bringing the upvote button, expected post-payout, comments, wallet and other familiar features of Steem directly to SteemPress-based blogs.
In a nutshell, to see the best of WordPress content on Steem, and the best Steem features on WordPress blogs everywhere.
Benefits to Steem
SteemPress, having its first goal to on-board WordPress users at large, will definitely increase Steem blockchain activities. With consistent integration between WordPress and Steemit, this will definitely connect users to Steem communities, which in return promoting Steem worldwide. As the Co-founders market SteemPress, Steem will be marketed concurrently.
