Corona virus: what are its symptoms and how to protect yourself from it?
The outbreak of the Corona virus began in China, before it spread to more than 60 countries around the world.
What is the disease? What do you do to prevent yourself from getting it?
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms begin with a fever, followed by a dry cough, and after about a week, the person feels short of breath, which requires treatment in some hospital patients. Symptoms rarely appear as sneezing or runny nose.
The appearance of these symptoms does not necessarily mean that you have the disease. They are similar to those associated with more common types of viruses, such as the common cold and influenza.
Corona virus can, in severe infections, cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, insufficiency of functions of a number of body parts and even death.
The elderly, and people with previous health conditions (such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease), are the most vulnerable group to HIV infection.
The incubation period for the virus - between infection and the onset of symptoms - lasts about 14 days, according to the World Health Organization, but some researchers say this period may last up to 24 days.
