RE: The secret silver lining I find amidst the Steem nosedive

in #steem5 years ago

Hi Alex
It has been a while since our last communication. I saw the comment you made to help me (abt 4 months ago) and was wondering how you are. I found it strange that I have not seen any of your posts on my new post feed.

Reading this post was good, for it shows you have remained balanced and you have not abandoned the platform.

I hope to see some more of your posts as we go along. I have not been doing much in Steemit, only concentrating on posting my books (separate accounts here for the books, with larger posts so that those who enjoy reading can do so.)

I have also blocked all payments to me, so it means SP and Rep are now static. Doing so has released me from the pressures of trying to do well (in the 'competition').

Regards,
Alex (Arthur)

Thanks for the nice words.

Over the last weeks, and especially since September, I have been focusing on finding my balance in the online world and on Steemit irrespective of the platform's success. Stopping to tell myself I have to deliver content within a specific self-imposed time window and instead returning into an equilibrated mindset without strings of forcefulness attached. I now post much more rarely without any strict rhythm, which allows me to create in a very relaxed state without pressure and find more fulfillment in my creative work once done. Stress energy accumulated can finally drain off and make room for mental clarity and silence. Decelerating allows me to lean more into the feeling of what I have and being able to feel deeper gratitude for it. When there were times that I felt like not having enough, now I feel like I almost have too much. Or better, I feel exactly perfect where I am. I feel much better. We both seem to walk in the same direction yet in unique, equally valid ways :)
