I am building a few things for the Steem blockchain at the moment.

  • A free public GraphQL API with generous limits (allows you to query the Steem blockchain using GraphQL queries). There will be a paid option for any apps that want to use it for large-scale activities.

  • A CLI driven framework for creating front-end Steem blockchain applications. Allows you to pull in and configure pieces you need to build Steem applications; auth, persistence, state management, API logic, querying and more.

  • A decentralised cooking platform built on Steem that will eventually reward participants with a custom SMT for participating.

All of this will be out in 2019.

Looking forward to seeing your GraphQL implementation.

Cheers, @berniesanders I've got it working for the reads no problem, it's the process for allowing people to authenticate and perform mutation based actions (upvotes, flags, comments, new post) that I am still working on.

@beggars I'm looking forward for cooking platform! I'm already following your profile and I'm looking forward for more details!

Now on @mysteempl, together with @see-it-feel-it we're building a website and preparing video tutorials for new members of our community.

The goal of the MySteem Project is promoting Steem in mainstream (FB, YT, Instagram, Google) and gaining new users of our platform. Cooking is my passion, so I hope that some of them will use your platform.

If you have a moment to take a look, you can find more details about the project by clicking HERE

A cooking platform? Interested. Food is awesome, blockchain food may be awesomer.

Don't know if this'd be of interest https://busy.org/@dtaste

work on lots of stuff related the steem but the main focus is ondPoll.

I've been running a project called steem late vote explorer for nearly a year now, here is the latest update.

It was originally inspired by your bounty to make a program for @abusereports. It started taking its own direction and is now designed as a monitoring tool for late votes. It has a GUI file explorer type viewer, and various pie charts to display the data you collect.

We are building Dporn as you are probably aware. Beta site is now up.
Also with tumblr banning all porn content maybe the Steem blockchain can fill in the void. Who knows.

Nice to hear that, there will be alot of porn lovers ;)

We agree!

Hopefully dporn can replace Tumblr's amateur porn.

Yes, we hope to add that in shortly due to the demand for it.

Well I am trying to build people up who deserve it with sincere and genuine comments as well as feedback. So number one for me is to build the platform up (which is the people on it of course) or else it won't be here for me to enjoy :P

Second to that I am building my channel up with lighthearted fun content like this platform has never seen. This platform needs more fun! I want to give people a reason to come here each day.. and leave them wanting more each and every time. I want to make people smile, forget their troubles, and learn to loosen up.

If I could make an app I would want a version of Slither.io here on the blockchain so we could battle each other and have fun doing it. I would love to play against you Bernie :P

Also I was chosen by Nathan Mars to be a part of the DTube777 Family. The 777's are a group of hand picked ambitious people who are here to motivate and build community. I curate, engage, create, and pretty much give 99.9% of my time to making Steemit fly! The 777's are the Wright brothers of Steemit :P

Also Nathan kindly delegated me at first 777 and then later 7777 to reward me for my commitment to growing this blockchain (not bragging just explaining what is going on in my end in terms of projects). It is temporary though and it ends on Jan. 25 I believe. Not sure if he will decide to keep me or not. However even before I knew who Nathan was I was doing the same in terms of giving Steemit literally all of energy because I believe in it. If Nathan should chose to not carry on with me post Jan. 25 I will still be here doing the exact same thing same as before because I have never been more sure of anything in my life than I am of this blockchain.

I know it may have a few wrinkles but I believe they will be ironed out over time. I have heard rumors of a possible merge with Tron. Have you heard about it yet Bernie?

Anyhow Nathan Mars has been like a fairy God Father of sorts to me I guess. It feels good to know someone notices my efforts. The same way it feels good to know I have you out here to keep me smiling with your posts Bernie!

Talk soon <3

It's great that you mention comments. I'm building @we-are which is a community based free upvoter (blog on @we-are-one). Right now, like many efforts, @we-are rewards posts but I'd love to get it to the stage where I am also upvoting comments. I think minnow upon arrival to steem think it's all about posting, but really minnows would generally do better by making good connections via comments.
Glad to hear of your work for dTube. I've been tracking Nebulus.app - they are trying to help voluntarily host the video files. I'd love it if there was an easy to install desktop app I could give my steem user name, point it at a folder and give it a size allocation and then have it help with the IPFS caching of the dtube videos made by people I follow. Nebulus.app is trying to do something like that - but they're not there yet.

Do you have a discord channel I could join and check out? That sounds like a fantastic idea. I am glad to hear Nebulus is working on that. I am the Executive Director of DCooperation and we have a gentleman who is working on a Uploader as well. If you are interested in using it let me know. I believe it is functioning even though I have not tried it yet. I honestly have not had any issues with uploads myself recently. I know that people want their files to last and I believe the uploader gives the files a longer life. If you want more details just let me know. I am not involved with the tech side of things. I am involved more with the social aspects of DCooperation. I will check @we-are out now though.. sounds neat!

As for what you said about minnows I totally agree. I think we should connect through conversations and with people first. That means more than just creating to dump as opposed to creating to connect. Making meaningful connections is the foundation of a strong channel. That is done through dialogue and reaching out to people. I think we have to build from the basement up and that is the only way to have a strong channel. Who sets a house down with out a basement first? Then they complain when it blows away? lol it is funny to me. Interpersonal connections are the most important thing any Steemian can do as well as any sensible entrepreneur. It makes no difference to me if someone has a 10,000 camera.. if they don't connect with me on some sort of level I will not return to watch. In fact this is proven through Bernie Sanders. This guy who I can't see entertains the heck out of me. I can't see him. So you see equipment makes no difference.. and in fact even videos don't either. Sure those are great things and if you have them and want to create great! But the number one most important is connecting with audience. Even if you are not seen and the connection is done via comments, responses, posts, thoughts. Once they connect to you then you will find yourself an audience that keeps coming back. It is all about longevity.

Talk soon @eturnerx

Here's an invite to the Nebulus.app discord: https://discord.gg/JpGbwHv
I'd love to hear more about uploader, got a link?

Sure if you DM me on discord I will send it to you over there.

Thanks for sharing your link as well :)

We are creating a raffle bot where the winner gets a 100% upvote. Our power isn't much right now ,but we are good for minnows to get a nice small healthy upvote. Someday, if we get more SP , we hope to have the upvote be $1,$5 per win. We are powering up ever 2.5 hours so each round is a bigger upvote over time.

That's a cool idea. I build a free lottery account (@we-are-lucky) with about 5K SP as part of my @we-are project. He's probably the most popular upvote on the whole @we-are system :)

So far just building a sense of community...

I made something... oh wait you said sonething cool 😞. I am working on a project with someone else and I have made All Posts and Beneficiary Posting you can read a bit about allposts on my steempress blog at Here

We're building a DApp for Steemit Open Mic, a community of live musicians on Steemit that has been running for 114 weeks now. @prc from DSound is helping us build it.

I'm told Open Mic is the longest running weekly contest on the platform. Don't know if that's true or not but that's what people say. Lots of other contests have copied almost exactly what we did with Open Mic. Currently, Open Mic is sponsored by some top witnesses. My goal is to create the DApp and advertise it to musicians and sponsors outside of Steemit to bring in more users and more investment to Steem.

I'm also working on a new site that will make it easier for people to find active communities on the blockchain based on topics they are interested in. It will make it easier to sort through posts compared to a long feed of mixed topics like we have now. The goal is to get people involved with active communities around topics they are interested in sooner after signing up, keeping them involved before they lose focus and interest. Right now we have a problem with retaining people in part because they get lost in the mix before finding support from those with common interests. I'm building a site to help retain them by finding commonality with others on the platform.

music is definitely a huge internet growth ticket, nice idea

trying to get older users to go and welcome some newbies to the platform - i even feckin offered 1SP per comment and still only got 5 takers :/

might as well try and welcome some new cats, i remember getting some encouragement when i joined and i am still here..

@kiwiscanfly I took part in your offer, but my good intentions went south fast after a, saw a terrible intro rewarded over 125 bucks bc it's so important for those people to feel like winners I wonder how many decent people creating great things here could've used that money. She was also delegated 500 SP. It's difficult to play nice or be welcoming when i see such blatant circle jerking and recruiting for initiatives here. Grrrrr, so part of my building a sense of community I answered above with is exposing these ridiculous frauds...

@kiwiscanfly we also believe that one of the most important things for the network are new users.
That's why together with @see-it-feel-it we're building a website and preparing video tutorials for new members of our community.

The goal of the MySteem Project is promoting Steem in mainstream (FB, YT, Instagram, Google) and gaining new users of our platform.
