Was it me or he wasn't well prepared? I mean, he mentioned in passing but failed to stress the most important aspect of steemit: the intrinsic value of having an influence inside the network, by holding vests ...

The fiat value of most cryptos is extremely volatile because it's not backed by anything else than supply and demand. With DPOS tokens, there's an additional incentive to hold tokens and not sell (aside from the hope that they will raise in value which is common to all of them).

And that is the ability of staked steem (SP / VESTS) to influence how the reward pool gets distributed. If I was there in front of those Bloomberg ladies this is what I would have stressed ... not the fact that is has speculative value ! Yes it has, but so have all the other cryptos ...

You want to emphasise the competitive advantage, @ned, what's special about steem, not what's common !

Oh, sorry to give you the impression I actually watch anything @ned does...

Well, you kinda' just read an abstract of what the talk was about, so you won't need to watch it anymore. He didn't sound particularly convincing (unfortunately)

On the other hand, what do you think about @tarazkp and his opinions ?

I am a fan of @tarazkp and agree with most of what he says.

I confess it is a relief to learn that.

I have been following him for ages, he always makes me think with his writings... its refreshing on this platform

@berniesanders shut the fuck up.. no one give a shit about your opinion here.. What are you going to do for a face when the baboon wants his butt back? As far as steemit believe you're just a clown .. 😂👆

Must've been hard talking to someone who seemed to need an explanation of what crypto even is. But geez, one might have anticipated the "low quality content" criticism and been better prepared to answer that.

Yeah it wasn't great, but it also wasn't terrible, which is about the best we can expect at this point I think. He seemed pretty ill prepared, probably cause he's not used to speaking in public...

That face he made when asked about the low quality of content spoke volumes about his internal thought process going on there. I think it's just impossible to talk steemit up with a straight face.

I think as @wholeself-in that he should have anticipated that question and should have had a ready-made answer

Something like this for instance: "There's bound to be some dross especially with a young platform that is exploring a discovering a whole new model of creating content and rewarding the creative process. It is an evolutionary process"

Or he could have stressed the positive aspect, with the great quality original content that is also present and given for instance the example I gave in an old post of mine where I saw one of my guys (rather steemit-averse) learning about Qtum by studying a detailed post published ... on Steemit, of all places !

Not a surprise since Bitcoin is down and majority of the time all other cryptos follow their big brother.

That was the question on everyone's lips: WHEN, the bloody SMTs, WHEN, @ned ??? Tell us maybe about the roadblocks or the milestones or something to let us guess. Is it in 6 months, in 6 years, in 60 years ?

Your funny man @berniesanders
🤣

Greetings from Berlin, Germany @seelc

P.s. You used the wrong graph

I tried to not laugh... I couldn't help it!

Unexpected ... Oh wait ... :>

Ned, do your job, delegate money for pool reward rapes and don't go to TV :P

How are you honeymoon like you, i love your fan, you love me too much

That’s a powerful voice right there.
