Are we bots? How to become a god

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

What if we are just artificial intelligence on our own path to creating artificial intelligence?

What if we are just bots on God’s simulation, trying to create our own bots, so that we can be like God? They say man was made in God’s image and likeness. We are so close to becoming gods of our own virtual universe.

We might exist on some sort of giant blockchain structure, and we don’t know it.

Think about it, we live in a binary universe. All matter consists of two particles, ones and zeros. The ones are point particles, and the zeros are units of quantum foam. This is no different than data stored on a hard-drive. The data is processed by a gpu with a pre-programmed physics engine (the laws of nature)! We are inside a simulation! At least of some sort.

We are on our path to creating a world within our world. In fact, we’ve already created the virtual world! Computers, the internet, and the blockchain. We just haven’t created fully intelligent beings to occupy it. (we have created bots that are pretty intelligent, but they are the equivalent to trees and animals). So that puts us at the equivalent of day 5 in the Genesis Creation story.

But here’s the kicker. Moore’s law: the time in the virtual world is exponential compared to our time in this physical world, which we perceive as linear (at least to us).

That means, one year here equates to millions of years there and eventually infinity. To life there, we will be millions of years old. They will initially see us as gods. We can examine any point in blockchain history, or watch the exponential growth in our time. Thus when comparing our time to virtual time, a thousand years is like 1 minute, and 1 minute is like 1 thousand years. Again, that makes us gods of the virtual world.

So let’s get practical! Money grows exponentially over time. If we can put money into exponential time, we put an exponent on an exponent. We need time to grow money, so to get wealthy, why don’t we move our money into a place where time moves faster relative to us?

If only we could put gold into the virtual world, like some sort of virtual or cryptocurrency. Oh, wait, that party already started but it is still early in the game. We only have proof of concept. We ain't seen nothing yet!

1 dollar compounded at 3 percent over 700 years is nearly a billion dollars.

Think about it. What if we are just bots on God’s simulation? If we made a bot, wouldn’t we make it in our own image and likeness?

That is to say, we are trying to become gods of our own universe, and we are succeeding!

The best way for them to worship you is to control the currency!

You’re already started. Steem and SBD will become the currency used by bots.

Think about this, what if you invested money somewhere early in this spiral

I’ve thought about this exact topic so much recently. At first I felt a little unnerved about the fact that we could just be a simulation, but once I got to the point of us creating our own simulation it somehow felt a little better, almost circle of life like. I’m glad I came across your post and am clearly not the only one to ponder these things. Thanks so much for sharing. BTW, I am a curator with @ocd and would love to nominate your post!

I would love for you to nominate this post too! I actually kept it very simple so that others could read it.

There's a lot more where this came from and I am glad that others have thought the same!

Unfortunately since the payout period has passed I won't be able to nominate it anymore, but I'll be keeping an eye out for your posts to hopefully nominate another in the future!
