Lovely set. Are there only three of these lions then?
Silver Future did a video once about the origin of dollar. Originally it was Thaler, from Maria Theresa Thaler, he said. The Dutch called it a Daalder, then it became daler, and we called it dollar.
Agreed, they should modify the sides of cases to show off thickness where it's a feature of a coin.
But more importantly they should flip the f*cking back of it for coin orientation items. It looks unprofessional when the sticker is upside down relative to the obverse.
The detailing on that set is great. The Dutch mint really did a fantastic job. 2018 must be the year of the shit design, the Royal mint screwed the dog up, I've never seen the 2018 Dutch lion but if it's as bad as you say I'll take your word for it. Sov
What an amazing set of Lions, that gold one is stunning. And the thickness of the 2 ounce is crazy cool. Why does the gold slab say "America's First Silver Dollar" on it? Sov.

Ooh that piedfort is one to have! Literally twice the coin great addition 👍Sov.
Its a shame NGC dont display the Piedfort with a side view perspective, like the other coins

Lost track on how many Dutch Lion Dollars you managed to get your hands on... But even more curious how many PF70 coins you have in hand XD

That gold dollar is making my eyes water. Such a fabulous coin, and it has that ancient look about it.
