A real persons review of Steem Follower

So being just a minnow NOOB here on Steemit, i came across an upvote and follow exchange. basically you sign up to boost your following and up votes.
My honest review is that this does temporarily work. I certainly got a boost by joining...i went from a 25 to 33 reputation over 2 days. i have many more followers now and am following way more people. The trick is after a few days...most people in the rotation seem to be bots or people only about money and spam. The real people kinda dry up...as the random generation of accounts to potentially follow also starts having less and less legit folks...well they end up being the same profiles that pop up...and many appear to be bots or scammers.
Basically i think steemfollower is a worthy join...but it needs more real people, telling real stories. So if you are a real person...come make it an even better space for minnows to get the much needed followers and up votes boost....everyday i rotate through the members....would be nice to find actual humans sharing things they actually care about and not just thinking about money.
