Is a defining moment about to come for the future price of Steem?

Here's the graph of Steem price in dollars over the past 6 months:

We can see that, after the spike in value in June, the price has settled between $1 and $1.50 the average being about $1.25 with a downward trend. The lowest point during this time has been a little under a dollar and the price is nearly at that point again.

With the bitcoin markets shaken at the moment, and with the overall slightly downward trend that I mentioned, it is quite possible that Steem will lose even more value. In saying that, Steem has shown an ability to bounce back in the past, so we will have to wait and see.
