New SALT: Crypto backed lending

in #steem7 years ago

Check out their page https://saltlending.com/

As they state on the website crypto backed up loan. So what does that mean? For example if you hold Bitcoin and loan it, you will receive interests in US dollar and the rates look promising. As we stated before with bitconnect the banks are paying you a small fraction of what they earn with lending out money. So for Salt you are making the rates the banks are currently making. 10%APR. This is easy for your long term investments to earn some extra cash.

As you can see at the moment they will only pay in US dollars but in the future they are planning to add some other fiats.

Here is an overview of the roadmap and what is already accomplished.

You have the freedom to take your assets back anytime you want. You're place will be filled with somebody else and they will receive the following interests.

Well the first presales are finished. This coin is not on the market yet but I think it will have a great future. So keep an eye on the project. Below you can see a disclosure on the website of SALT - https://saltlending.com/

[Approximately 35 million SALT Memberships were sold at $0.25 and 5 million SALT Memberships were sold at $0.75.
SALT’s growth has been a direct result of a discounted product strategy, and we will continue to strive to provide our Members the best possible products at the lowest possible price. We sincerely hope that this update has added value to your understanding of the SALT project and provided insight into the decision making of the SALT leadership.]

I would always suggest to read their whitepaper and check it out for yourself!

Well do you think it will be the next big thing in crypto? Do you believe in their project? Let us know in the reactions.

Sounds a little risking lending your Bitcoin out though...

I you want to keep it in a wallet to earn some extra I think this could be a better and faster way to earn something extra. But yes we will have to see in the future how the project will be run :-)

Hopefully there will be some insurances in place haha

The idea looks neat but the name may make people suspicious as they don't want to be salty :)
