STEEM Listed On Binance - Starts Trading From 100k Satoshis
As you probably heard, STEEM is now traded on Binance, a very popular exchange lately. It was hard to miss the event, because, even in this bearish market, STEEM price jumped significantly.
For reasons that I don't really understand, it started to trade at 100k satoshis, then corrected abruptly.
When I took the screenshot above it was $52.2k satoshis, trending up.
If the numbers aren't lying, at the moment of writing this article, the total traded volume since the beginning of the listing is 1,396 BTC (probably more when you'll read this). That means almost $14 million volume for just a few hours, dwarfing Bittrex, Poloniex and Upbit (the STEEM/BTC pair) all together, as it may very well go above $40-45 million by the end of the day.
All in all, fantastic news for STEEM and the Steemit ecosystem :)

I started scrolling down the Coinmarketcap listings today like ah fuck and then, there it was, Steem at a nice steady $5 while the rest of the market tanks. Good shit -- and I feel like getting on Bittrex is a huge move, because our restriction to only two major exchanges before now was one of our biggest vulnerabilities.
what are those 2?
Let's hope Binance doesn't have those long maintenance periods with the Steem wallets we sometimes see at Polo ;-)
Yeah, more alternative exchanges, bigger competition and better options for us.
Definitely and more reliability. In about 9-12 months we'll have an insane amount of more options with all those decentralised exchanges upcoming :-)
The price jumped at the beginning of trading because noob "traders" put in buy market orders right at the outset. It happens with every coin that gets listed on Binance. Look at the charts, every coin hits an ath on day one of trading.
Finally. No more LTC sending from bittrex.
I notiuced steem.supply is nto responsive and quite hard to operate on mobile. Would you like me to redesign it? For voluntary reward.
