RE: 3 Reasons That Will Boom Steem (Are you ready for 1$ to 5$?)

in #steem5 years ago

So I have a question, I'm actually a relatively new Steemit.com user. I first heard of Steemit.com from popular Youtube channels who are also Steemians/Dtubers, particularly @TheOuterLight.
Youtube's censorship, and algorithm changes negatively affected even my small channel, as I noticed a decline in views(I never had large subscriber base).
But there was a lot of talk on Youtube about Steemit.com when TheDarkOverLord was leaking stolen 911 lawsuit docs.

Would you consider the time when DarkOverLord was dumping documents to Steemit.com the last time this community saw a lot of new traffic/sign-ups?

Also, I have to ask about Dtube, I know it's just a dapp front-end to Steemit/IPFS, but are the developers/maintainers dedicated to fixing the issues there? I think it's an important aspect of Steemit.com, as video content creators like myself were drawn over because of it's layout and familiar interface. It's something we could promote to other people and try to bring them here, but the broken search functionality is hard to rationalize. Obviously there's tons of other features that we'd like to see implemented, but the search is a core part of the platform. Steemit.com's search works fine, but for Youtube refugees it's not the same thing.

Just questions, I love this community and this platform.
