RE: Vessel From @Jesta Now On Utopian | A Message to @Freedom | Delegate And Profit

in #steem7 years ago

@freebornsociety Utopian upvotes every contribution indipendently from the specific project. The direct delegation to specific projects is a way to facilitate the project owners in giving rewards to their contributors, still Utopian upvotes every single contribution with the voting power delegated to utopian-io.

Sort:

Yes, and delegation takes from those that need it to give it to those that greed it.

I get that the platform needs to be built, but if you get paid from all content creators involuntarily/unknowingly (mostly) to do it, dont be surprised if we dont worship you as gods as we could if you gave the work freely.

@freebornsociety Utopian does not take anything from the author rewards directly. The author rewards are given back to the sponsors and to the moderators. Utopian only gets added when a Sponsor opts out from getting the rewards as Ned did. On top of that all the curation rewards earned by Utopian are reused to delegate to other Open Source projects and to keep the platform running. Every transaction is transparent in the wallet and explained in great details. I understand distribution is not good in Steem but this is because there are few real investors in this platform yet and we are trying to change this.

When @ned, or any of the other top 10%, delegates their sp everybody else's vote is diminished in proportion.

While the largest accounts continue to dominate, to force their ideals on the rest of us, there is no reason to invest.
Why invest in a game where investing helps the haves more than me?
And while the attitude appears to be the way it is, like it or leave it?

It is my opinion that we need to reverse some hard fork choices and build a community responsible enough to not use every advantage over others to enrich themselves.
Viva! the n2 and responsible voters!

It is a business decision, ultimately.
The game isn't attractive to the masses when they get dominated by the few.
It seems to me, that the longer this situation persists the larger the hurdle to overcome when the business decision is made.

I doubt you are prepared to build for free, crapitalism refuses you the environment to do so, so bear in mind that you are taking from all of us to do what you do.

I don't think you understand Utopian. No steem app has had more success distributing rewards than this one.

Thank you for your groupspeak.

If utopian wants to be legitimate let them earn their sp like everybody else.
When whales delegate it takes from everybody and gives to the favored.

Just a fact in the math.

Look, I'm not sure what you don't get here. Your arguments seem to be designed to be fighting against paid delegations from @freedom or something.

Utopian supports developers. Take this example

This is my friend Andres who I introduced to steem. Thanks to some of the work we are doing, including participating in utopian, he was able to move back to Líbano from Bogotá, reversing a major problematic trend of urbanization affecting not only Colombia but also most of Latin America.

Paying developers to help build a better, open world - does that sound 'capitalistic' to you?

The steem blockchain has been designed a certain way, @elear didn't code it. But he sure built a great app on top of it to spread the rewards, rewards coming from SP of donors who also agree that this is a fantastic project, to people doing good, open things in this world.

Don't like it? Find another blockchain!

I'm glad that you have benefitted from this arrangement.

I am not glad that half of the value my vote would have had was taken against my will to benefit you.

It is simply a fact in the math that delegating sp rather than holding that sp makes every other vote on the platform worth less in direct proportion.

This is a fact in the math, you dont have to like it, but to act as if it is not true is not the solution, imo.

Should i find a new planet while i am at it?
