RE: 100 Steem Giveaway - And a Personal Goal Achieved!
Thank you @leotrap, this is very generous of you!
My favorite community on Steemit, and one that I'm very proud to be a part of, is @themesopotamians.
The Mesopotamians is awesome. It is a project run by @tcpolymath with the goal of building a vibrant and active "middle class" on Steemit. This is not just an another initiative that supports only the participants, although growing accounts is definitely part of the plan. But the ultimate goal is to grow Mesopotamian-ites' accounts so they can give back to the Steem community.
There are multiple levels of support, but in order to "advance" or "graduate" participants must come up with a community project, inspired by the Eagle Scout Project concept. Participants are inspired and incentivized to give back to the group as they grow individually.
I absolutely love the model and try to support @tcpolymath and the participants (and their projects) as much as I can. In fact, if I end up winning the 50 Steem from @leotrap, I will immediately delegate it back to @themesopotamians so it can continue the great work!

Thank you @eoj for putting this forward. @themesopotamians is still very much a work in progress at the moment, but I think it's exploded way quicker than @tcpolymath expected and he's been sprinting to try and keep up on adding the levels in. Each level doesn't have a particularly huge upvote, but it's way more than that which makes this project so valuable. It's the way he's brought the community together and given us all that motivation to keep working and supporting others. He's lit a fire which keeps us going.

Thanks, Joe. If anyone's interested in learning more about The Mesopotamians, this is the current best post for that. I expect to be opening applications for the full system pretty soon.
I couldn't agree more. It is an awesome initiative and has helped me out tremendously. The Mesopotamians not only supports its members, but it fosters the creation and growth of other communities as well. @tcpolymath is pretty awesome as well funding the majority of the project with his own stake.
Yo @eoj, this sound definitely awesome... the concept itself seems very different. I will take a time to see it in deep.
Thanks for Stopping by!
+1 @themesopotamians well deserves to win!
The Mesopotamian is a great project because it gives steady support for Steemians who believe in the long term growth of Steemit. The members of this project are selected based on merit and commitment to community.
As eoj explains it nicely, the benefit of supporting Mesopotamians Project are twofold because the project is designed to support and rear for future community leaders so we can give back more and support smaller accounts as we grow our own.
This project is designed and maintained and bankrolled mostly by one person, @tcpolymath, who aims to fix the poor user retention in Steemit, as he is also involved in the administration of Steem Basic Income, a lifeline support project for many planktons.
Yes, all that and a bag of chips. Or crisps if you’re in the UK.
Great choice @eoj :) The Mesopotamians is an initiative I'm proud to be a part of, and I know that @tcpolymath gives his all to it ... and then some :)
I support this entry for sure. Its a no brainer to me.
