I link back sometimes to give context to the post I'm writing and it's a good way to showcase older work because it's so difficult to find here otherwise. I do that for people new to my blog. I've posted a lot of blogs, 1.5 times a day for over 2 years, so it's difficult for people to go back and find my stuff.

Adding links to a blog also allows people to do further research if required.
