What's up my Steemian friends,

I hope you're doing great where ever you are in the world. It's been over a month since I've posted (a very long time in the crypto world:) and I just wanted to check in and give an update for those who reached out to me; and also to anyone who is wondering what's going on with our meetup.

I've mainly been focused on work, exercise and getting marketing campaigns ready for the fall. I'm planning to teach some hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) work shops in the fall which I'm excited about. Also within the past few weeks I've been working with an awesome life coach who's been hugely helpful to me so far. There are some things I've wanted to post about, but I found myself almost getting stressed out thinking I had to do three posts a every day / every other day; which if you think about it is kind of silly...

I guess it's the game aspect of social media that makes us feel like there's pressure on us, when really it's in our heads. So I just decided to take a little break and let myself chill for a little while. I think it was also related to running the SteemPhilly and other crypto events which I also really needed to take a break from...

We've managed to do a SteemPhilly meetup every month since January, which I'm pretty proud of. In addition, I also organize the Bitcoin Philly meetup which we've also done nearly every month since January (I think we may have missed one month out of six). So almost a dozen events in six months! Between the two meetup groups, it was getting to be too time consuming. So a month or two off from doing them seemed necessary. Plus I'm sure everyone else has other things they want to be doing over the summer too.

The final factor is that our home base - the Institute does not have a functional A/C on the second floor. As anyone who was there for our June get together will attest, that shit was too hot! So I think ultimately as much as we all love the place, it's probably time to find ourselves a new venue.

So there was nothing planned last month and as of right now, nothing is set for this month. I'd like to get something going in a week or two for those that are up to it. But instead of picking a date myself, I'd rather let people who are interested let me know what they think and we'll come up with something all together. There's also been talk of doing larger Steem focused events here, which is also very much a possibility for the fall...

Let me know your thoughts are, friends. Let's get it going again soon.

The logo is looking good!

Can't wait for the next meetup. I've got lot's of questions about what strategies are best with the current low prices. 100% Steem Power post rewards?

Anyways, hope I'm in town for the next one.

Do share if you determine the best strategy @dhimmel. :)

Welcome back buddy! Glad you got a nice refresher and are now back in the game. I was thinking about you this morning and was wondering if you were ok. That’s cool that you have been working with a life coach. Bet you’ve been learning a lot 😀

Hi @hypnopreneur. I feel it's important to find your own balance between steem and real life. I can never do three posts a day, let alone, three posts a week! For many of us, we have responsibilities in the real world that we have to balance accordingly. The real world should always champ out the social media world, imo.

Hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming? Wow, those are interesting topics. I had to google NLP :). It is an interesting treatment/therapy method. Good luck with teaching the two subjects!

Life is so busy that I have not been able to join a meetup. I hope to make it one day. I've never been to the Institute personally. Summer here with no A/C is definitely not fun. Yikes.

Hey Dan. I'm happy to hear that you took some personal time and unplugged to re-balance your mind and body.

Welcome back. I look forward to our next meet up. I am open most time slots after 6 PM. Or maybe we can do a weekend afternoon BBQ at a park? The only problem with that is no projector if we meet outdoors.

Are we ever going to have another Steem Philly meet up? I haven't given up hope despite the major drop in price.

Yea, I'm working on something. There's a possibility of doing a large event sometime in October, so I'm making that a priority rather than a monthly meet up at the moment. We might have one this month though, I'll keep you posted.

A lot of people gave up on Steem. I don't know why. It seems like a get rich over a long period of time scheme to me if you play it right.
