Exclusive: Q&A with PURSE

Florida is basically a hub for hip-hop. I cannot even count how many talented rappers are on the come up from the sunshine state. One of those such rappers is PURSE. PURSE is an up and coming hip-hop artist from West Palm, Florida. He also belongs to a group known as "brain dead posse". He feels as if he is a breed of his own and I could not agree more. To be as talented as this guy is, you have to be different. It is that simple. Hip-hop is more therapeutic for PURSE than it is for a lot of the mainstream rappers out there today. He uses his music as an outlet for all the negative shit that happens in his life, which is a fantastic way to push all the negativity out.

PURSE is unique. His music is original and I would say he does a very good job of representing himself through his lyrics. He is basically a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to music. He can sing, he makes his own beats, but his rapping is where he really shines. Think Playboi Carti x ASAP Rocky and you get PURSE.

Another awesome thing about this guy is that he just seems to have an amazingly positive outlook, all you have to do is look at his Twitter to see that.

Anyways, PURSE and I got to talking on Twitter and he gave me the opportunity to ask him a few questions. Check it out!

Q - How's the hip-hop scene in West Palm?

PURSE - The hip-hop scene in Florida is just so dynamic you never really know what the fuck you're gonna get.

--
Q - Your most played track is "DARKSTAR". What went into that song?

PURSE - Darkstar was really based off, literally a dark time in my life so I was like fuck it lemme make a song about it.

--
Q - As a hip-hop artist what's been your biggest challenge so far?

PURSE - My biggest challenge so far is just the mixing shit but I'm getting the hang of it, if u need mixing HMU lol.

--
Q - What are some goals you have set for your hip-hop career?

PURSE - One of my goals is to let people know I'm not the average "SoundCloud" rapper and that I'm very talented at what I do.

--
Q - You seem to support a lot of other rappers in the SoundCloud community, which is awesome! Do you think SoundCloud is a good place for rappers to make their start?

PURSE - I support and will always support if you send me a link I will listen to it no matter the genre, no matter if it's trash cause at one point we were all there. I think it's probably the best way, there are no limitations and that's where people start getting really creative. You can literally have a song saying "fuck ass" throughout the whole beat and it's totally straight.

--
Q - Finally, what's one thing you want people to know about you?

PURSE - Just know "I'm coming" that's it :)

--

I would like to personally thank PURSE for taking his time to respond to my questions.

PURSE radiates confidence. Whether it is in his own music or in other peoples music he is not afraid to support himself or others. You are not going to want to miss what he has in store. Expect big things from PURSE. The sky is the limit for him.
