RE: We all get paid.
I found the information while researching how to become an arbitrator. I have been at home for the last two years due to disability but have enter remission so I am starting to think of a new career goal. I can not go back to my choksen profession due to the medical condition, yet I can't find another career that was rewarding as nursing. I would recommend nursing as a great second career for people. A lot of nurses get there later in life and the experience you have in your previous 9-5 is relevant to the job as nursing has a ton of paperwork. But you get patients and results and the medical aspect.
I do understand the feeling of drowning at work from boredom or redundancy. That's how I feel at home with no job. It becomes daunting to think about Monday when all my kids expect the youngest head off to class and my husband to work leaving me an empty abyss of a week to fulfill.
I hope you find the job your looking for and if your searching new careers nursing is a great one and it pays decently even for LPN degrees.
My problem is I'd be taking a significant pay cut (at least 30%) if I switched careers. I plan on doing it some day but I'm making really good money. It's just a matter of how long I can stand the stress. I usually handle it better than I have this week.
I appreciate your well thought out reply! Hope you have a fun weekend with your family.
