The DOs And Don'ts Of Steemit--- The Rapid Change In The Steem Blockchain
Hello great steemians.
The steemit community which has been seen as a blockchain that rewards the creative authors for quality content is changing drastically, and it will be wise to tag along the new changes that comes along with the blockchain. Unlike many other blockchains, steemit amongst others rewards it's authors with a cryptocurency called Steem. Steem can be seen as a cryptocurrency that is used to power up the steemit platform as reward for its users. Unlike other blockchains like Raddit etc, steemit rewards it's users with Steem for their quality work.
Before now, there was an "eye" sign in every post we make, it entails the number of steemians that viewed your work. I call it the "eagle-eye". It used to be very helpful, because you know how well your work is by the number of people that viewed your work. It is no more again, this is one of the obvious changes in the steem blockchain, and i'm yet to know the reason behind it.
Without further ado, let's hit the main focus for the day "Do's and Don'ts of steemit":
DOs: There are many right and wrong etiquettes for posting on the steem blockchain, some of what can be done here are:
. Post Quality Content: Yeah! It is well said that users get curated based on their quality content. There's a steemit soldier called "cheetah" that detects plagiarized work here on this platform. If detected, cheetah leaves a message on your post's comment section with the link where the initial work was copied from.
. Source Your References: This is another vital aspect in the steem blockchain. We most times copy pictures and write-ups from the internet. It will be a very smart move to source these references so as to avoid being flagged.
. Comment And Interact: Commenting on other people's post, I mean quality comments makes you to be known on the platform, and it shows that you went thoroughly through the post before commenting. When people see quality comments, they may like to follow that very person. There's Steemchat For interaction so as to share ideas and initiatives with other great steemians.
Don'ts: Haven known the Dos of the blockchain, it'll be better to know the don'ts. Some of the dont's of this blockchain are;
. Never Beg For Upvotes: This is irritating! arrggghh!!! "Hey, please help upvote my post" Seriously bro? It's a very wrong etiquette to beg people with higher sp to upvote your posts. When you make quality posts, curators will find you and give you a thumbs up.
Steemit is an interesting place to be. With the increase in the population of people rushing into steemit, it is better to be your own brand on the blockchain.
Got better ideas on how to better the blockchain, or there are things I missed? Hit the comment section let's interact.
Until next time. I remain @lauraefe
