But really, its their right to do what ever they want with their stake, as is our right to see it as a shitty thing and downvote them for being pricks.
At least Haejin uses flags, returning some tokens to the reward pool and upvotes some folks occasionally that agree with him.

I'm fully aware of that and that's not something I was trying to refute in this post but rather invite the good whales to show them how we don't really approve of such behavior here.
I mean, if everyone was to follow their lead, this place would quickly go to the crapper. Don't you agree? It already has, to some extent. Most votes are botted or on auto pilot and there is little human interaction going on, which is slowly but surely eroding the social aspect of our beloved platform.
That's not something we want, right?
Who in the right mind would come to such a platform that is dolled up to look like a social media website, while in fact there is no social aspect, honest curation and real engagement?
Well if im honest.. I tried it all. Bot and going legit.
Neither worked. Now i just do Steem because im invested in it and mostly engage on Whaleshares.
The same folks i liked here but didnt engage nearly as much due to everyone chasing votes on steem. Now i mess around with them on Whaleshares everyday and all we do is repost stuff we write for steem... And funny thing is that in term of $ i earn more there. 😂
Its funny but it seems the bigger the platform gets the more corrupted and fake it gets.

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you, minus Whaleshares. Never liked it for some reason.
Yep, that's exactly what's going on here. When the incentive is to earn as much as you can, greed overtakes common sense and people turn greedy. Colluding, abusing and doing whatever they can to get those sweet upvotes.
A sad, sad situation to be stuck in.
The only beacons of light are the dapps and the good whales.
