RE: The STEEM Blockchain Is Scaling Up: News From The Developers!!!!!

in #steem7 years ago

Yes, I'd read about the AppBase too - it is good news.

But surely, if the devs need the community to adopt something (like testing new scalability), where they need a good number of users to "live test", there should be a more efficient way of letting the community know.

Even if 10 well-meaning users, such as @taskmaster4450, write posts about the need for live testing, they'll reach a tiny percentage of the community, with only a small percentage of those reached actually taking the time to login to the new platform.

Surely, being developers of the platform, they could put up a highlighted bar (or something similar) at the top of the steemit website, calling for the help of the community and linking to instructions as to what they'd like us to do. This wouldn't be difficult at all - it's a change to the website coding, not the blockchain.

By putting the information front-and-centre, in a place where the majority of the community would see it, theyy're much more likely to have the community act how they need it to.

Thanks to you, though @taskmaster4450 for trying to do your part and spreading this info to your audience.

I would presume you are right...the more the merrier.

They are looking for bugs which means the more people doing stuff, the more flaws that are uncovered.

That is an excellent idea, putting a banner at the top telling everyone to try it.

Sadly, some developers, while great at code, simply do not think as you do...they get so focused upon the tree they miss the forest. Of course, this might be why they are great developers....they can stare at code for hours.

Me, I am so adhd, I am bouncing around from page to page all the time.
