That's exactly how I feel. Voting and focusing on content aren't mutually exclusive though! Upvote everything you like and think is good for the health of the site!
Money should not be your only incentive to use this decentralized platform. Because in the long run, that attitude will be the thing that will destroy steemit. People should really interact with eachother, that’s also what will give the topics something xtra. Now you often see posts and people just chasing the carrot on a stick.
That attitude is already here and already hurting steemit. The upside is that these issues are some of the few posts that actually seem to generate genuine, thoughtful interaction between users. However, steemit won't do that well unless it can expand to quality content that is not so incestuous. As a fan of economics podcasts (especially EconTalk) this place is a truly fascinating experiment.
How does that work though? You mean by earning curation rewards? Until Hard Fork 20, it's currently very difficult to time it right to earn anything. The best way to make money on Steem is comments. With 14.706 STEEM Power, it's going to be a long-road to earning from votes @maxhodl
I have found that leaving a great comment on posts is a good way to get new followers and earn, arguably easier than posting content. But for Steem to succeed it needs content, so you have to mix both.
That seems to be the policy for many minnows, but they won't make much from curation with just 15 SP. Curation is a game for the whales. I enjoy the content.
I hope you will be investing your trillions in Steem :)
If we focus on the content, Steem can become something much greater than it is right now
ain't nobody got time to focus yo!!!

I think there are many people with a different opinion 🤨
Thanks for the tip @maxhodl. It's probably not easy being a multi-trillionaire that travelled back through time, but hang in there buddy!
Thankss!!! Steem beta is hilarious. Happy to get to experience it firsthand :D

I learnt this from my history book ;)

apart from the truth this crazy one-liner of a post just dished, this last statement of yours comes a close second.
And that's why you seem to be making tons of Steem yes @maxhodl. Hope that's working mate.
"Money makes money" is the current Steem formula. One could be writing crap but because they have so much Steem, everyone wants a piece of that.
But I'll stay true to making content that can last forever. Cheers mate
I time travelled back from the future and found this version of Steem to be absolutely hilarious....!
Stay true and HODL on @coachmellow!! Cheers 🤪
@maxhodl haha future time-travellers make me giggle. Also, take me with you. I've traveled everywhere execpt to the future
I'm still looking for my DeLorean..

Thanks a lot, this is a tactic i might consider to gain some new followers. And i must say, i like the platform very much.
If they will vote and help each other to get high upvotes, thn you can earn here. Sad to say but still didnt get high upvotes lol
@kevinwong i mean i didnt get high upvotes, hehee
Oooo that's a catch 22 situation!
If you forget about the content, there's nothing to coment on....
If there's no content with no comments, there's nothing to vote on!
Then what?
funnily... there's quite a lot of content here in a post with no content!!

Thanks @steevc, in time... in time!
