yeah, before even though your new in steem. You can comment a lot without reducing your RC. Maybe the new user were suffering with this that's why they can't do comment much. What I'm wondering are those steem user who has just am SP like me. They can do comment but couple of times but still they don't use it.

I experienced what you said about writing a long content but didn't notice. It made me felt hopeless and disappointed. I gave too much effort but in the end, ignored. But it didn't stop me on writing because as time flies by I understand. Maybe I'm not that good in writing. I didn't point out what were their thoughts and maybe I didn't caught their interest. But it's not just before because until now I haven't caught many steemians thought just yet. lol

Although sometimes I did, it's fine to me. I never did invest and I never did buy vote's to the bot. That's why I'm just chilling though it hurts. Still, it's fine as long as I'm enjoying in writing. Who knows I'll be better someday.

By the way, what banner were you talking about. All I encountered comment's were those, "nice, thank you for sharing, good luck and steem on. lol

Enjoying your time on the blockchain is important. If it becomes a chore it's not going to be sustainable although most here are interested only in a financial gain.

If you enjoy it, and enjoy writing then take that as your reward and move forward.

As for newbies commenting...I've seen small accounts write comments like "good post" which is a total waste of a comment. They could have written something more valid but didn't. I mostly ignore comments like that, or respond with something similarly stupid. I know new accounts are limited which is why engaging is so important, as is not wasting resources with idiot commenting.
